Paper and Crayons

The following activities can be done with the paper and crayons given to your child in their Therapy to Go bag. If you run out of materials, use regular construction paper and age-appropriate crayons to complete the activities. These activities should be done sitting at a table or another flat surface.

Reminders

  • Be patient with your child. Give them enough time to complete each activity.
  • Show your child how to do each activity before asking them to do it.
  • Help your child as needed.

Activities

These activities are listed in order from easiest to hardest. As your child masters 1 activity, have them move on to the next.

Scribble

1. With a crayon, have your child scribble on a piece of paper. 

Copy straight lines

  1. Draw a “line down” (vertical line) on the paper.
  2. Tell your child to draw a line like yours on the paper.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 with a “line across” (horizontal line).

Copy shapes

  1. Draw a circle on the paper.
  2. Tell your child to draw a circle like yours on the paper.
  3. Repeat steps 1 and 2 with a cross (+) shape.
  4. Repeat steps 1 and 2 with a square shape.
  5. Repeat steps 1 and 2 with a triangle shape.
