Living with Immune Thrombocytopenia as a Family

What's covered in this Video:

From Families and Caregivers, Psychology and Mental Health, Immune thrombocytopenia

When their child was diagnosed with immune thrombocytopenia (ITP), Sadie Wright’s family was told it would feel like a roller coaster. Some days would be good, and other days would be hard.

At first, this made life feel scary and confusing. But over time, their family found a way to live with it. ITP became part of their everyday life. They now do small things, like checking for bruises, and they talk more as a family.

They do not see ITP as something that makes them very different from other families. It is just one part of who they are. They try to live a normal life, even with a serious condition.

Their story shows how a family can stay strong and hopeful.
