Mary C. Powers

Mary C. Powers writes about science and medicine for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. She is a former journalist who has written about everything from the space shuttle and NASA’s Voyager program to biomedical and clinical research. She was a Knight Science Journalism Fellow at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and has a master’s degree in public health from the University of Memphis. She believes in the power of stories to foster understanding and appreciation for scientific and biomedical research.
