Trisha K. Paul, MD

Trisha K. Paul, MD, is a pediatric oncology fellow and a hospice and palliative medicine physician at St. Jude. A graduate of the University of Michigan, she attended medical school at the University of Michigan before completing pediatrics training at the University of Minnesota. She is currently pursuing her Master of Fine Arts degree in Creative Nonfiction through New York University—Writer’s Workshop in Paris. Her research at St. Jude focuses on studying the impact of narrative medicine, specifically writing and storytelling, on childhood cancer patients and clinicians. She teaches an undergraduate course on Narrative Medicine and Health Inequity at Rhodes College. Paul published the book Chronicling Childhood Cancer: A Collection of Personal Stories by Children and Teens with Cancer. She aims to encourage and elevate the voices of young people with cancer and the clinicians who care for them.
