Tekeima Townsend-Billups

Chaplain Tekeima Townsend-Billups has served in supportive community care for over 20 years—9 years as a social worker, over 12 years in ministry leadership, and 15 years in chaplaincy, with several years of overlap in each. While now solely focused on pediatric care, her chaplaincy career includes work in trauma, crisis, veterans’ mental health, and community hospice. Ordained by the National Baptist Convention, USA, Inc., an MDiv graduate of Memphis Theological Seminary, and a board-certified chaplain, Townsend-Billups is grateful for chaplaincy work in the world. She is passionately committed to honoring the beautifully diverse traditions and beliefs of everyone she serves.
