Originally from the State of Mexico, Jonathan Adaír Guzmán Rodríguez was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin lymphoma in the chest area at the age of eight. Although the initial prognosis was terminal, he overcame several surgeries and chemotherapy treatments until being declared cancer-free at seventeen at La Raza Hospital. His experience changed his outlook on life and inspired him to study engineering. Today, Guzmán Rodríguez is part of the cancer survivor network Cimas de la Esperanza, where he shares his story to encourage others never to give up.
