Heather Conklin, PhD, is a member of the Department of Psychology and Biobehavioral Sciences and chief of Neuropsychology at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. During her residency and fellowship, she studied acquired brain injuries in children, addressing effects on their quality of life. Her research interests today include improving cognitive functioning in brain tumor survivors. She hopes to achieve the best possible outcomes for all childhood cancer survivors. Conklin says the patients and families she works with inspire her to keep working to ensure a better future for all children with life-threatening diseases.
