Based in Ghana, she leads pediatric-hematology oncology care at Cape Coast Teaching Hospital and works at the intersection of clinical care, research, and advocacy. Alongside her medical work, Amoako writes children’s books that simplify complex health topics, especially cancer, into engaging, age-appropriate stories. Her stories empower children to understand their diagnoses, reduce fear, and find courage. Her work is deeply rooted in compassion, cultural relevance, and the belief that every child deserves to feel seen, informed, and hopeful.
