Carly Weingart

My name is Carly Weingart and I live in Minneapolis, MN. I am a senior at the University of Minnesota where I am majoring in Sociology of Law, Criminology and Deviance and minoring in Psychology. With my degree, I would like to work in the criminal justice field and hope to help people in the system, and bridge the gap of inequality when it comes to criminal justice issues. I am a devoted cat mom.

I was diagnosed with Ewing’s Sarcoma of the spine in August of 2017. During treatment, I had to learn how to walk twice and went through extensive chemo and radiation. I learned a lot about myself and my strength throughout my journey with cancer. As of November 2020, I am 2 ½ years cancer free!!
