Akshay Sharma, MBBS, MSc, joined St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital in 2015 for pediatric hematology and oncology fellowship training. He also completed a master’s degree in clinical research from the St. Jude Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences. He joined the Department of Bone Marrow Transplantation and Cellular Therapy as a faculty member in 2018 and is currently an associate faculty member. Sharma leads several clinical trials of gene therapy and bone marrow transplantation for sickle cell disease.
