Osteosarcoma Survivor
Member of Cimas de la Esperanza
Abel Mora Arce, from Mexico City, was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in his left femur at age 13. After several years of surgeries and treatments, he underwent a hip disarticulation at 17, an experience that reshaped his life and inspired him to overcome all limits. Mora Arce holds a bachelor’s and a master’s degree and is passionate about sports and personal growth. He enjoys climbing mountains, cycling, and swimming—activities he was once told he could never do again. He is currently an active member of Cimas de la Esperanza, a network of cancer survivors.
