Fever, body aches, chills, fatigue
As the immune system is turned on, a patient may experience side effects like flu symptoms.
Rash
Inflammation that makes skin change color and/or itch.
Swelling
From inflammation and retaining fluid. Can occur anywhere in the body.
Diarrhea
Loose or watery stools that occur more often than usual.
Nausea/vomiting
Nausea and vomiting are related, but each may occur without the other.
Poor appetite
Loss of interest in food.
Change in blood pressure
Blood pressure may be lower or higher than normal.
Heart palpitations
Patients may feel as though their heart skipped a beat or races. The feeling may occur in the chest, throat, or neck.
Cognitive changes
This may include confusion, headaches, trouble thinking clearly or remembering, or not talking as much.
Nervous system changes
This may include sleeping more, seizures, or tremors (shaking of arms or legs).
Changes in breathing
May include trouble breathing, cannot catch breath, breathing faster than normal, cough, or need for oxygen.
